The Daily Outsider
As we begin today, we have been assessing some recent polling from the team at Axios about the lack of confidence by the general public about a broken system that is rigged against the average person--shades of the campaign of Donald Trump in 2016. President Trump was also on Twitter earlier today blasting Intelligence Chiefs who contradicted him yesterday on Iran and North Korea. President Trump also expressed pessimism about Congressional Deliberations on the border ball as he stated that he would shut the Government again. Two new books, Let me Finish and Team of Vipers, are also out and both authors--Cliff Simms and Former Governor Chris Christie--have been making the rounds to promote their books. We have also been assessing the potential candidacy of Howard Schultz, the former Starbucks CEO, as he assesses a potential candidacy that some pundits have noted will insure a Donald Trump candidacy. This is as Mike Bloomberg and Eric Garcetti stated that they will not be candidates. As we captured this take from the Economist' KAL, there was bit of good news: The Federal Reserve has come out and stated that there will be no interest increases and Fed Chair Powell noted that the data will drive their decisions. We urge President Trump to avoid any comments in this vain. The markets gave a vote of confidence; Up over 400 Points as we went to press here. We remain hopeful.
